ear pain and intermittent throat pain
I am currently diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. I have had ear pain since 1995. I also have a glossopharyngeal cyst. More recently I have had pains in my throat, which does not coincide with the ear pain. I do have inner ear pain when I swallow, and talk. . Also bouts of tenderness on my scalp. .A few years back I had a ACDF for Klippel-Feil Syndrome. I am wondering now if I have been diagnosed incorrectly as I understand that happens frequently. Any insight would be appreciated.

I am having the exact same symptoms down to the large thyroid nodule. It is so frustrating. Did you ever find out anything?
I think ENT doctors are glorified dermatologists. I have cancer in my throat that grew for at least six months before I saw an ENT. He is a surgeon. He went agressively after the cancer. He said that the cancer was in a nerve in the right side of my neck. My face now droops on that side making swallowing and taking pills very difficult. The water runs down my chin. He said he didn't get it all. I asked about radiation and he said he would talk with the tumor board once before surgery and again after surgery. I am currently trying to get a second opinion with the VA because they cured the same kind of cancer with only radiation in 2009.
