Keytruda + Lenvima For Recurrent Endometrial Serrous Carcinoma
I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer in 2021. I had a total hysterectomy and my omentum was also removed. My initial CA-125 was 500, but after carboplatin-taxol chemo my number went down to 15. I had ct scans every 3 months and all were good until this year. Three lymph nodes showed some small increased sizes and after another 2 scans they had continued to increase. A biopsy confirmed that my serrous carcinoma had returned. I've had no symtpoms and feel fine. I'm now starting my treatment with Keytruda and Lenvima.
I'm looking to hear from others that have had this treatment and get some tips and encouragement.

Well, as it's turned out, I am not going on the LenPem treatment after all. I have just started a targeted treatment, ENHERTU, as part of a clinical study. Feeling energy depleted today after first round (but that could be attributed to having to fly from Victoria to Kelowna and back, in addition to the flurry of prelim health tests I was subjected to). Hope I will feel better by the next the treatment. My oncologist was excited to see that the study was taking place near to where I live (Victoria), and also believes that I will have less server side fx than the LenPem. Only time will tell: the study has no end date, which means I keep on the program until I start showing negative reactions or no improvement. They should have a better idea after a blood draw and CT scan in 6 weeks.
Fingers crossed.
I was diagnosed in 2021 with endometrioid subtype. Did total hysterectomy, radiation, and regular doctor visits all was clear until July 2024. I had a reoccurrence w/ ascites and metastasized based on PET scan which dumbfounded my GynOc. They started me on carbo/pembr/taxol I did 3 cycles and had mixed results then they put me on hormonal therapy which was faslodex and verzenio. This completely wiped me out and I ended up in the hospital. During this hormonal therapy I had a second opinion, and I found out that the original subtype from 2021 was actually hi-grade serous. If it were to be staged it would be 4. I'm HER 2 negative and MMR mismatch. I started February 17th with 12 milligrams of lenvima and keytruda. I feel as if I'm getting better but maybe I'm just comparing it to how poorly I reacted to the hormonal therapy which was an inaccurate line of action- a waste of 3 months. For now, I am tolerating it and my major side effects are an extremely dry mouth, extreme hoarseness, absolutely no appetite and extreme fatigue. Next week I will do my second round of keytruda.
Thank you for sharing. I have Stage IV Clear Cell Endrometrial cancer. Had a complete hysterectomy along with removalnof spleen, appendix, resection on bowel and liver Aug. 26, 2024. Cancer is now back. Carbo/taxol did not work. I itial Avastin did. However, the new
all recurrence is resistant to all of the above.
I just received my first dose of taxol and herceptin. Feel pretty good but only time will tell if it's effective
I'll follow you to see if Keytruda is working for you.
Best wishes!! Hoping you have a good out come. Stay strong!
