What are your experiences with tramadol ?

My wife has been taking tramadol for several years to treat her restless leg syndrome, with very mixed results. Sometime's she's able to sleep through the night, then for 2 or 3 nights in a row, it doesn't seem to be offering any kind of relief. It doesn't make any sense.
Her doctor doesn't have any real explanation for it.

I experienced huge facial swelling from using Tramadol. Definitely allergic to it.

It knocks me out. Like a bad drunk.

I got relief with tramadol for chronic pain I had to wean myself of it under supervision four 5 months. Painful process. I previously was addicted to OxyContin I consider it a miracle I didn’t overdose

I was on for 3 days with the sleeping pills given to take 2 at night. no pain - wonderful . no sleep and vision loss. After 3 days although I loved no pain, I was tired and my vision was almost gone.

I was given large doses of gabapentin for damaged nerves in back and found it was amazing for restless legs and sleep. I take it before bedtime. Have your wife ask her Dr. It might help!

Ive been taking for over 20 yrs for chronic body pain from fibro and lupus. Still have body pain but dulled. Tried all others and no help. Could not function without it. I take 50 mg 3x day (rx is for 100 3x day)

Horrific, im allergic to it. Makes muscle function weaken to where I collapse and can't move or hold my head up

Very good tp know, not taking Tramadol . but often have same problems . No idea why ~ Will look for a possible reason ! It is freighting !
