lung nodule

Posted by linpvc @linpvc, Apr 24, 2024

since October, lung nodule in right mid lobe base has grown from 15 mm x 5 mm x 8 mm. to now ( April 20, 2024) 17mm x 9mm x 14mm. plus its margins are now described as questionable spiculated. it is non calcified. it is new finding was not there a gear ago.
no indication of soread, lymph nodesc are fine. when this new nodule was first discivered , i was given options of wait and see if changes, remove nodule or biopsy, i chose wait and with scabs, bkth CT aND pet now with mist fecent and fifth scan suggestion is another Oet ( would be sixth scan both Pet and CT)
ive asked doctor for biopsy. any thoughts if that is best decision? im tired if not knowing and want it out to be safe.

I have a 1.5 cm lobulated lung nodule. What is the likelyhood of my nodule to be malignant..

mine has stopped growing, may be getting smaller. is oddly shaped, suspicious for spiculation ( but even benign nodules ate many times spiculated) . its still a wait and see, its noncalcified ( i'm told most nodules are) ill get another CT Scan in 6 months. If a couple more years of stabilization, it will be much less suspicious.

Hello there, I am a new. In January 2024 a 2mm lung nodule in my upper right lobe was discovered incidentally on CT. I was having a full chest/abd CT for bowel surgery (to remove a large polyp). I asked for it to be reimaged and it was 4 months later in May 2024. No change, said to be benign and stable. I didn't think much of it. This past January 2025, another incidental finding came up on CT of my left side for an ice-skating fall (for surgical management of the fracture). This one is a 5mm in the upper left lobe. The radiologist did not raise anything else concerning. I am a 55 year old non-smoker. I am super stressed however over this and am hoping to get in to see someone this coming week just for a discussion. My family doctor was thinking to reimage in 6 months to see if there is change but I feel nervous about waiting that long. Any comments or reassurance would be so appreciated.

Hello,
Large size nodules is a concerning factor and yours are very small, that”s a good thing. Nodules are a very common find and most are not cancer. The scans are watching for any change in appearance and growth. Both are too small to biopsy.
Hope that helped ease your mind a bit.
My best to you.

A 15mm lung nodule was found when they diagnosed me with pneumonia. They have watched it for 2 years.pet scan done said it should be biopsy but Dr sent me to surgeon who wants to do a wedge removal.refuses to biopsy just remove. I don't feel comfortable with this option since I feel fine and have a history of benign tumors throughout my body. Suggestions??

If were me. I’d get second opinion. You need to be comfortable with whatever decision you make regarding your treatment. My best to you. Know it’s scary

That one is stable, however a formerly small stable nodule has started growing fast. I’m scheduled for a PetScan soon. Any ideas why nodules keep growing?
