Sleep and fibromyalgia

Hi
I would just like to know what others take for sleep with fibromyalgia. I can't seem to tolerate my cyclobenzaprine anymore
Works great for sleep, But makes my ears ring affects my tinnitus. I am going to go back to my 5htp and cbd. See if that will help.

My GP here in the U.K., working on the advice of the hospital’s Pain Clinic, prescribed me 60mg Duloxatine am and also pm (total of 120mg daily plus, Bupronorphine patches ((1 per week) - that releases 10micrograms each hour, keeping topped up until changed for next patch. Between them my pain has been released to a level I can handle…..I sleep well however, have immense difficulty in waking in the mornings. I am woken by my amazing husband, with coffee and two ginger biscuits and my morning meds (8 pills, that includes the Duloxatine, 2 x inhalations of Fostair 200/6 - my Asthma meds plus 2 x puffs of a steroid nasal spray). Within 15 - 30 minutes, I’m sound asleep again !!

Hi
Oh you are on cymbalta (duloxetine). I had to take that when I had knee surgery 14 years ago it was the worst drug I have ever had to come off.I wish you luck with it if you have to go off it. It worked well for my pain. I would never.
Take it again.

Before the Bupronorphine Patch and the Duloxatine, that I’ve only been taking since late October, I had been prescribed dihydrocodeine, paracetamol plus, Amitriptyline for several years. I had to gradually titrate down from those meds then, slowly titrate up to the 60 mg of Duloxatine am and 60mg in the evening. When that had settled in, I was allowed the Bupronorphine Patch, that releases 10 micrograms every hour, for seven days, when I have removed it, cleaned the area thoroughly - I then place a new patch on the alternative arm….

Hi
If it works for that's great. My fibro symptoms are more sleep issues. Muscle fatigue, depression. I never had the depression until I had to go off hrt.

Hi
I was just talking to a friend of mine and she is on trazadone . I am going to speak to my Is family doctor to see if he would give me that. May I ask how many mg you take. My friend does 25mg

I've tried Ambien but it doesn't work for me at all. I take 100mg of Trazadone as needed. It works great and I don't have that morning hung over feeling with it.

They make a cooling blanket that is amazing. After having lymphoma I can't control my temperature normally. I bought this amazing blanket from Amazon. My daughter bought me cooling bed pillows for Christmas. Even if I have night sweats, the pillow and the cooling blanket make it more bearable.❣️

I take 300mg Magnesium Glycinate 2-3 hrs before bed. I take a CBN/THC sleep gummy (Minny Grown brand called Hibernate) about 30-60 minutes before bed. Then about 20 minutes before bed I take 2mg melatonin and either 5mg cyclobenzaprine or 50mg trazodone. All of this usually makes me sleepy enough to fall asleep within 30 minutes. I feel lucky if I get 6 hrs of sleep.

Hi
Do you think the trazadone help you more than the cyclobenzaprine.
I just saw my naturopath, she increased my mag glycinate to 2 before bed, 50mg . 5htp and increased my cbd oil. Since going off hrt because Hormone positive breast cancer. She said my nervous system and my hormones are really low. So hopefully my g p will give me the trazadone.

I had breast cancer 30 years ago and had the same sleep issues after HRT therapy. It left me with fibromyalgia and sleepless nights. I tried all the prescriptions they gave me. Only clonazapam has worked for me. Is it worth it to “try” all those “natural “ remedies and still only (maybe) get 6 hour sleep? That sounds like a LOT to be taking.
