Ordering eliquist from Canada and it coming from Turkey?

My mom is being prescribed eliquist for her afib issues. Through her normal pharmacy with Medicare it was going to be 500 a month. Her doctor gave her a prescription to send to a Canada pharmacy where she can get for 225 but says it’s coming from Turkey? So is this the legit medication? Have others done this? Is there any cons?

I have not yet tried my blood thinner from a Canadian Pharmacy. However, my sister gets hers that way. Yes, it is legitimate. I had a very expensive prescription from my pulmonologist; he wrote the prescription for me to a Canadian pharmacy. It also came from Turkey. I think that is very standard.

The stuff you pay 3x for from a US supplier is likely also from Turkey.

If you look up where the manufacturer is of your drugs you'll find they are mostly made overseas somewhere.

I've been on Eliquis (twice daily) since 2020. I go through Prescription Lifeline (Texas). I pay $79.00 monthly and receive a three (3) month supply at a time from Bristol Myers. Mine is usually made in Switzerland but varies from time to time. I never had a problem.

I was prescribed Apixaban (the generic for Eliquis) 8 months ago for an AFIB occurrence. The local pharmacy charged $450 for a 90 day supply with Medicare Part D. My wife is also taking Eliquis for AFIB and a past stroke. I thought the US prescription price was outrageous and decided to investigate other sources.
When I subscribed to Mayo Clinic Connect I found several responses concerning mail ordering Apixaban thru a number of Canadian Pharmacies so I investigated those sources and blog recommendations.
I finally decided on the Canadian Pharmacy Store which offers discounted Eliquis from several sources. It's approved by the Canadian International Pharmacy Association and has excellent references. Here's their link: https://www.canadianpharmacystore.com
I called their 800 number and received their account forms and their process for ordering which entailed prescription orders from our doctor for my wife and myself, who was very willing to fax the prescription to them in a timely manner. He switched her from Eliquis to Apixaban.
I then chose which supplier to order from and filed our order forms with them. The whole process was very easy and has saved us a huge amount of money.
We've been able to fill our prescriptions for 90 day supplies for $71 per order and it takes about 2-3 weeks for the order to arrive in our mailbox.
We've been very satisfied with the service, the 800 number help line to answer questions and the prescriptions we've received.
There are a number of Canadian Prescription Referral Services to choose from that you can review by Googling that topic. I would urge you to be sure they are a Certified Canadian International Pharmacy and are a current member of PharmacyChecker.com.

Hope this helps with your cost cutting research. BTW they have many other drugs available for discounted mail order that US Pharmex companies are raking in Millions selling thru our US Pharmacies.
