Has anyone on Tagrisso had brain mets show up?
I was diagnosed 2 years ago with stage 1B EGFR NSCLC. After surgery and 4 rounds of chemo, I’ve been on Tagrisso for about a year and a half. In latest MRI, small spot has shown up on my brain. Wondering if anyone else has had brain metastisis show up while taking Tagrisso. Thanks.

I am so sorry to hear this, hope it's not cancer!
I have stage 1B EGFR NSCLC as well, with Visceral pleura and Focal lymphovascular invasion. Sept 2023 had it removed. I didn't have chemo and straight to Tagrisso 80mg. My last CT Scan showed a few small nodules, and I will have another CT at 3/7/2025.
Just wondering, why you had your brain MRI done? any symptom?
I will pray for you!
The way my lung cancer was discovered in 2023 is a scare I had when I couldn’t think of words or speak words. Headed to the ER because I thought I was having a stroke. CT turned up my lung cancer- quite by accident. Neither CT nor MRI showed any sign of stroke. Had lung surgery, chemo, started on Tagrisso and my PCP wanted to find out what caused the original. Hence the brain MRIs. So this was routine and I was due to have MRI of brain once a year - but the spot turned up.
Hey Judy,
Are the new small nodules in your lungs?
Yes, those are new small nodules that found out from my last Dec CT Scan, since they were so small my oncologist scheduled another CT in March.
I will be praying for you!
My wife had 4 tiny spots showed up on her brain, from lung cancer (post lung radiation and chemo),, she had radiation to kill the 4 spots, she is on Imfenzi , The Immunotherapy med.
Full body and lung scan, showed no other spots anywhere. But because it is also noted in lympnode , it (cancer) could show up anywhere, in the body.
I have exact symptoms as yours. My oncologist said no one can be sure about next one year, next five year or even tomorrow , and I am trying to live at the moment and planning to visit Paris and Italy this summer.
Yes! I’m in Italy for 2 weeks.
Hard not to be scared, but there are amazing treatments for lung cancer now. I’m 80 - so cancer is less tragic gor me. But seriously, check this forum
You’ll find a lot of encouragement and you’ll “meet” many people who are living full and happy lives who have beaten cancer. 🙏
