Hello! Looking for input on these 2 vaginal estrogen creams. I am curious if anyone has had to switch from one to the other and found success?

I have tried both ,i don't find any difference however on premarin is less expensive in canada 🇨🇦. It might be a bit stronger in odor . That would be interesting to find out if there is a difference in the products .

I use the generic estradiol cream and have discovered the manufacturer makes a difference in how I react. I happen to get a cream from a different company since that is what the pharmacy had at the time. I had burning. My gyn now writes the RX for the
generic brand that does not cause irritation.

Marlene,
It took a week or so to get relief. But, it did take care of the problem. As I’ve said here, sometimes I slack off with the estrogen cream and the problem comes right back. I’m also doing pelvic floor exercises which help. If I stop doing those, I have trouble. So, I’ve learned the hard way to comply with estrogen cream and PT.

It took me about a week or two and the relief was amazing. Are you using it daily for the first week or two? I used it every night for a week and now use it 3xweek. I wouldn’t miss a dose.

You might be referring to my posts about Estring. It has been miracle for me. I couldn't tolerate the the less expensive vaginal creams. I am rejuvenated. It's worth the money. With my Medicare insurance it costs $500 the first of the year and after that $200. One silicone ring has 3 months of time release estrogen which you insert yourself into your vagina. It restored my vaginal health it thickeded tissue, stopped the painful burning and eliminated any odor. I have read post that say it slides out, mine needs a finger push back to the upper part of the vagina about once a week which I do in the shower, but it has never come close to sliding out. You don't feel it and during sexual intercourse your partner doesn't either.

A gynocologist I went to after going to others for years and not being helped I kept searching. After she reviewed my history with previous topical estrogens I tried she suggested this time released product which I had never heard of or been told about by any gynocologist. The problem for many is the expense. I only see her once a year now to get a prescription refill.
