I totally agree. I was lied to by everyone at the Cincinnati Eye Institute! LPI ruined my vision and I did not even need it. I had low pressure in my eyes. Greed. It comes down to greed. Every single day I think about the day I was talked into doing this procedure. They said there was absolutely zero risk to ever have in any kind of visual problems. That is a lie. Worst thing I have ever done. My vision was great until they put holes in my eyes that I did not need. I am very bitter and angry. These doctors should be held accountable for what they do.

Have things gotten better?
I am being told that risks are rare and that it is a fast, simple and relatively painless procedure that will protect me from potential vision loss if I have a narrow angle closure attack. Yet, I haven't read any positive outcomes posted anywhere online and wondering why? I have no symptoms, normal eye pressure and no optic nerve involvement at this point. Still, I am being strongly advised to have this procedure. I came across Moorfields Eye Hospital website (UK) which says that Iridotomy is no longer recommended for asymptomatic cases. I feel like moving to England!
