Ablation and exercise
I would be interested to know how soon after an ablation procedure others began to exercise and at what intensity. I ask because I had pulsed field ablation one month ago and my EP said I have no restrictions on physical activity. I'm not so confident that my body is ready?

Are you still on diltiazem after having a recent ablation? Why?
Hi @nevets Having had about 8 of them myself as some have said it depends on the EP Doctor's experience and How well they know your History. I myself had mostly good ones but 1 bad one that was with a new doctor, and I should have consulted a second opinion.
That being said what I would suggest at this time is to do something I found very helpful to gain confidence in my ability.
Talk with your doctors to see if they can refer you to a good Cardi Rehab center. In these centers they put a heart monitor on you typically a remote 4 lead system where they watch your heart and how it reacts as you exercising. I went to one located at the Hospital where I had several ablations. Mine had me start slow on a treadmill and standing bike. Over the period of the testing maybe several weeks 3 times a week to as long as needed. They increased the level of activity and its so helpful to see that your heart handle the exercise and will give you the confidence on how hard you can exercise after finishing the treatment. I did mine after I had a pacemaker installed and had recovered from a very bad period where my Heart had dropped to a injection factor of only 5% (normal is from 50-70 %) . It was so helpful and after that I knew with confidence how much I could exercise, which was a lot more intense than I first thought.
Blessings
Same thing happened to me. Following the ablation I felt fine but the HR remained consistently in the mid/high 90’s bpm. Had a Cardioversion and that brought it back down but it only lasted a week. So I requested another ablation. The EP who performed it said it was a much easier procedure because when it was just a rapid rate issue they knew where to focus on where it was coming from. That procedure went a lot quicker. I’ve been fine since. Hope this helps.
After my ablation which I had early that day. That evening I started walking a couple of miles, after a week I was doing my normal routine of walking 12 miles daily and weight lifting four days a week, no problems.
