Tips on minimizing withdrawal symptoms from Effexor (aka Venlafaxine)
I have been taking Effexor/Venlafaxine for years and tried to get off it a few times but each time I try to give up the chemical withdrawal symptoms are a horror story and I give up giving up. Anyone got any tips or tried and tested strategies? Thank you

@jakedduck1 @shellyz- I think Jake that it is because of her insurance that he has cut her down so quickly. But I agree that it's way too fast and irresponsible of the doctor. I think that the doctor should contact the insurance and say that they need to help Shelly responsibly- perhaps the doctor could give you a clearance or whatever they call it, so that you can taper more comfortably. Shelly- have you considered another doctor or are you comfortable with this one?
@grandmar
Just a quickie question. Are you having any symptoms?
Happy trails,
Jake
@jakedduck1
Nope, not at this point. My reductions have not been very much yet.
@grandmar
Keep your reductions small.
Best of luck,
Jake

You said “Thankfully, I find there are many more really caring doctors”
My response was my sarcastic sense of humor indicating 1 caring doctor.
“What’s his/her name.” It was a joke, bad as it was.
Enjoy your day,
Jake
@jakedduck1 gotcha. I really love my gynecologist but that wouldn’t help you! He’s the best.

@grandmar you are so right about Dr,s some like to pigeon hole you so you need to find a Dr that has your best interest at heart. Listen to your body.
