Any update! I have a symptomatic splenic cyst and I’ve had 5 surgeons turn me away stating they don’t “deal in that”. I also live in Cleveland. I have met with one surgeon but they want to rule out everything else before surgery is an option. Every doctor I’ve met thus far has said they’ve never had a patient with a splenic cyst and that certainly doesn’t make me comfortable.

Hello,
I completely understand how you’re feeling. I had decided to go with Dr. Ammori with University Hospital. Dr. Ammori and his staff were absolutely amazing!!! My surgery was December 2023 and I have had no issues or symptoms. So far so good! Look him up and give his office a call. I wish you the best of luck. Keep me posted on what you decide to do.

Could you explain what a "symptomatic splenic cyst is compared to one that is asymptomatic?
