Can anyone recommend a pulmonologist that specializes in MAC/bronchiectasis in Florida? I live in central FL.
Thank you

Are you happy with your Infectious Disease doctor? Are you seeing Dr. Alvarado? I looked at this list and am trying to get an appointment with him. It’s a bit of a drive for me, just wondering if it’s worth it or if I should stick with my old Infectious Disease doctor.

If you live near Orlando, you might want to check out Dr. Daniel Layish. He is co-Director of an adult cystic fibrosis program and lists an area of interest as Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (A1AD). A significant percentage of people with CF and A1AD develop bronchiectasis.

I know someone whose pulmonologist recently retired so she went to Dr Layish. She reported back that she was pleased with her visit.

I recently moved to central Florida and found Dr Calimano, the other Co-director of the cystic fibrosis clinic. I was very pleased with my first visit and it didn't take long to get the appointment.
