I have also started acupuncture for BMS and have brought this same study to my acupuncturist. I am also considering checking into a few others. I will say, it's only been 3 weeks and I do feel like I have seen improvement. How long overall would you say it took you to receive significant improvement? I'm curious - did they give you herbs to use or just the treatment? And, do you go back for periodic treatments? If so, how often do you return? I agree - those fingernail points that were just added do hurt but if it's helping I'm all for it!

I have not had to go back since the second round of treatments. As I mentioned, I still occasionally feel it to a minor degree, but it's not often, prolonged, or bad. The first time was maybe 10-12 treatments over 3+ months, and the second was maybe half that. It's been several years, so timelines aren't clear anymore. No herbs, no moxa, just needles. I know that not everything works for everybody, but this worked for me. I hope it does for you, 'cause that BMS can be a real bitch!
