Starting Big 3.. suggestions on how to take them.
I will start treatment in a few days. Looking for information on how to take the 3 meds and suggestions to get through this.
Very frightened to start this.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Bonnie

Good for you that you are still 🚚 ing in God's faith and love. I am still
trying even though Parkinson's is a brute.
👍
Nice to have a pharmacist in the family.
I also read the same thing online when I previously googled information about when to have yogurt when taking antibiotics. Good to see your information also, thanks.

I will prefer bedtime ( three hours after last meal) with all three antibiotics in an empty stomach.
I tried to take one after dinner and did not feel good. So I switched back to three antibiotics in an empty stomach.
I took them a few years ago. My white cell count plummeted and I was taken off. Watch for side effects.
Hi Bonnie!
I finished the big 3 in Nov 2023 and am still MAC free!! I have Bronchiectasis as well but other than a flare up of that 3-4 times a year/ I am back to living LIFE! Hubby and I just got back from 18 day hiking trip to South America!! So, wanted to start with the hope and good news!! As for meds, I took at night b4 bedtime. This seemed to lessen side effects for me. I also took a daily probiotic every morning
(At least 10 billion) because eating yogurt is just not enough with the large amount of antibiotics your body is consuming. Keep up exercise, if you can…even when you don’t feel like it. It helps!!
Best,
Dee
Thank you so much Dee! Your not is an inspiration to me. I have only had minimum side effects, a bit of diarrhea. Day two today. I am exercising and I am grateful for all the wonderful support from this site.
God bless everyone who is dealing with this disease. Stay positive and keep the faith♥️
I was told no dairy for 2 hours after taking rifampin.
I have been taking the Big 3 for 2 months now. I was off for a couple of weeks because of issues in getting the correct dosage and days used for the refill. The doctors kept messing up the 3X a week. I did start a new way of taking the meds. I am now taking 1 a day. So, over a week, I take 2 of them, 3Xs, and the 3rd 2Xs. It has helped with the one side effect I had, which was diarrhea. I haven't had a chance to talk to any of my doctors about it, but I can't see much of a downside. I might need to change up and take the odd one out along with the last one on Thurs. and then skip Fri. before starting again.
