NJH - Dr. Eddy
Everyone, I have been assigned to Dr Eddy in the ID department of NJH. In reviewing prior comments, I see enough to give me some pause about Dr. Eddy. I am traveling from out of state and overall the trip is a big investment for me so I want to do all I can ahead of time to set myself up for a successful visit. Given past comments, I question whether I should request a different doctor, even if it changes my dates. Any feedback anyone has on their experiences with Dr. Eddy, or thoughts generally, please let me know. Please private message me if you prefer to share confidentially. Thank you!

I saw Dr Eddy in March 2023. He gave me sound advice, did a thorough work up and a real physical exam. He was comprehensive and original in his records. He always was clear, kind and firm in his communications, and had solid reasons for his recommendations. I am fortunate that with his care and education, and adherence to airway clearance, exercise and taking Big 3 as prescribed, I completed therapy in June 2024 with negative cultures so far in f/up. It is a bonus to get a warm and fuzzy feeling with a dr, but at the days end, one accepts exceptional care and recognize that it takes time to know someone.

Sometimes our perceptions can be wrong.
Sometimes we catch someone with something else also on their mind about our care and it affects the way they come across but it is not their usual manner. So, for me I give them a few chances and then start my analysis of it all.
