Has anyone experienced fatigue after taking losartan for years?
I’ve taken this medication for several years without incident and suddenly over the last months, I don’t have the energy to do anything. I wake up weak and tired, with my lower legs and feet not quite right. If I try and do chores, I’m pretty much done for the day after an hour. This is completely unlike me. Over the last six months I have weaned off of both bisoprolol and rosuvastatin. I am feeling better, but the fatigue continues. Has anyone else had this happen?

It's common to ''split'' a 25mg pill.

I took losartan for 20 years. But I took the brand version. I had a great insurance company. Suddenly they did not pay and I was switched to the generic version. About the third day I wound up on tbe floor passed out. I read many many medical articles and came to the conclusion that tbe generic I took somehow released too much drug into my system too quickly.
I paid for the brand version - a month’s worth (it was very pricey then but is not horrible now) and had no problem at all.
I did switch to a different drug, which took me a long time to figure out to take to keep side effects at bay but get optimal blood pressure control.
Both a friend and my husband had the same problem. I don’t know if it is quality control—
Or what. We pay for the brand version for my husband.
I had an interesting similar issue with zocor - simivastin.
My insurance company pays for that brand version because we were able to demonstrate through pharmacogenomics and careful data recording of lab values (ALT and AST were 5 times upper limit of normal) that my liver cannot handle the generic version.
i take lorsatin at night 100 mg but i wake up with my BP very high 160 over 100 and when i have breakfast it goes down
Try having a light snack before bed … yogurt or banana
Try getting your medicines from Canada There quality control seems to be very good My wife had the same problem with generic synthroid Her blood work numbers were all over the place . The doctor insisted she take brand name Synthroid Now all is good
Maybe it’s not the medication . When is the last time you had a physical and complete bloodwork . And as we age our bodies change . But you seem sure this is too unusual for you So think I would schedule an appointment with my PCP or cardiologist and get checked out . Peace
I agree. I purchased a brand drug from Canada and was very happy with it and also the price. I used MedixRx.
Yes medicine is very safe from Canada And it doesn’t take as much as people think to set up a supplier
