Innovative Peptide based eye drops for dry AMD

I had very dry eyes many years ago but they are now better.
At Mayo optical store they started eye goggles to wear. I think the name is EyeEco. You put your eye ointment on when you go to bed, then put the goggles on when you get into bed.
Within 3 to 4 months after I bought my first goggles I called the clinic. It said somethings wrong. My trifocals were blurry, and I couldn’t see with my glasses on. Upon an eye check, they told me I didn’t need my glasses anymore .
It has been over 20 years since I started this path and now I have glasses again.
But my eyes don’t hurt as bad and they do have moisture in them.

Wet and Dry AMD are two different conditions. Dry AMD does not mean you have dry eyes it means your AMD is not involving a vascular component. I have intermediate dry AMD but I don't have dry eyes or need eye drops to lubricate the eyes.

There are no US studies on peptides and dry AMD. There are Russian studies and an over the counter product can be found online to purchase but it is weaker and no FDA approval or marketing is being considered. There are US studies you can easily google on Melatonin, Turmeric, Saffron, PQQ, NMN and CoQ10 as being protective and possibly delaying the progression of the disease. I take MitoQ formula CoQ10 for eyes. I take them all as well as Areds2. I found the NIH studies on low dose rapamyacin and AMD and have a prescription for low dose longevity 5 mg rapamyacin weekly. This is not an eye injection. You can use chatGPT to find out more about these US studies. Areds2 is the gold standard . I can’t provide links to these studies here.

Yes , you are correct, there are US studies. Animal studies. However, I found a small human study 2013 in Retina Today but it was for peptides and wet AMD.
