Best Clock Radio For Hard Of Hearing?
I listen to AM radio at night while falling asleep. I'm hoping someone can recommend a good brand and model for clarity of sound for human speech.

I often listen to a Walkman portable radio by plugging in a neckloop and using the telecoils in my hearing aids. It is a clear as a bell. This OLD technology works very well. Sadly, those little portable radios are not easy to find. However, found mine on eBay and paid a mere $8 for it some time ago. Worth looking for. You might find a neckloop in eBay or Amazon too. They cost around $50 and will plug into any device with an audio input jack.
People who sell hearing aids should tell their clients about these options AND also have the equipment to demonstrate them.
Do you have telecoils in your hearing aids? If so, do you know how to use them?
Hi, thanks but i am looking for a clear audio in a plug-in am/fm that i can hear and understand throughout my 2-room apt. all day.
Using my hearing aids would interfere with other daily activities… phone calls, zoom, etc.
Be well!
Most prescription hearing aids will let you know if a phone call is coming in, if you are using a neckloop, or connected to the TV. For me, I don't listen to the radio when I'm on Zoom-I turn off all background noises for myself and others listening.
Adding 2 more options
1. Listen to the radio on the internet (on computer, tablet, or smartphone). Connect via classic Bluetooth, and you have about a 30-foot range. To some degree, Bluetooth signals will go through walls and furniture, depending on the situation.
2. Install a home hearing loop in 1-2 rooms. You'd connect with your telecoil. Instead of a TV input, you could have a radio input

Thanks, i still need to find a clear am/fm plug-in even if its internet driven.
Good luck. Let us know if you find something that works. Thanks.
I have been using a Sonic Alert, Sonic Shaker alarm clock for about 30 years. I am on my second one because I dropped the first one to many times. It is small and round like a flying saucer, has a digital read out, and switches that allow it to be set for sound and or vibration or both. It will get your full attention. When my hearing aids come out I am deaf. It has a clip to hook onto the bed I clip mine to the pillow in side the pillow case then go to sleep knowing I will be awake on time and no worries get a good nights sleep. It is powered by 2 AA batteries and 1AAA battery that last about a year and are easy to change. Easy to find just go on line. Happy Z’s Elwood. Fairly priced too .
