Right lung burning sensation

Posted by vegita182 @vegita182, Jan 11 12:22am

I’ve had a right lung burning sensation that comes and goes throughout the day for over a year along with fatigue and feverishness that also comes and goes. One sputum sample just came back positive for MAC, has anyone else experienced this?

@vegital182 Do you have diagnosis of bronchiectasis of COPD as well?

Can you describe it, location, always in the same spot? Comes and goes? The nature and quality?

I have no official diagnosis yet. Well my pulmonologist said I have MAC but I’ve only had a PFT that he said was normal and 1 positive sputum. I go for a CT scan soon so I’m still unsure of what’s going on.

Can you describe it? Does it come and go throughout the day is it one sided, is it hard to pinpoint or is it very focused in particular spot?

It is in the right middle and upper lobe area. The burning sensation comes and goes throughout the day. The burning sensation gets worse on the day I use levalbuterol.

I rarely feel anything but sometimes feel a little bit heart ache. My pulmonologist says it may be caused by infection. Maybe you are the same.

Sounds similar to mine. Just the right side? I notice it will start to burn then I feel congested. If I’m able to clear the mucous the burning stops until the process repeats.
