Tell us an unusual thing that people don't know about you

I'll start.

I have never, ever held a baby, toddler, or young child in my arms.

@dfb

I am not special…I feel other people’s feelings deeply…physically…emotionally…spiritually.

In fact I can hear the wind whisper its lament in my ear.

I know there are others like me.

If you are one of us…you are not mad.

There are others like us estimated at 1 to 2 percent of the population of the world.

You are not alone.

Many of us die trying to cope.

You are not alone and we are not dysfunctional, bipolar, autistic we are just different.

My blood type is AB+ only 4% of humanity has this blood type…no big deal.

Neither is extreme empathy.

They told me I was sick and medicated me.

There is nothing wrong with us. It is a gift and a profound responsibility.

I have found one solution and one only.

Love, love, love and love some more. When that’s not enough love some more.

Never stop…never stop.

Love transforms suffering into grace.

Prayer, if you do that unlocks the locked doors with empathy for the other, all others all things, everything, even those who have caused my suffering.

Love is the key. It is the only thing that has brought me peace and led me to the grace of a higher power.

You are not alone.

I feel you as you feel me.

Peace and good health are right through the doorway of love.

Thank you!

DFB,
You don't sound odd. You sound normal or what should be normal. It's nice that you have those feelings and realize that you do. I get positive feelings that everything is going to be just fine but I can't tell you what is going to be fine. However, every time I get this feeling and it is very strong something turns out just perfect that I was worried about. I like to think it all comes from God. And, I say a prayer of thanks to him.

I also can sense when evil is present. Then I just say another prayer and leave the area.

You are right about love. We all need it.

Very interesting history, you bad boy, you!

I recently saw a documentary about CBGB's.

Amazing how many great bands got their start in that little hole-in-the-wall!

I had similar experiences starting in early 70s when I was in high school in the Chicago area. Same thing back then, with the alcohol/drugs. Nobody in the city really cared how old you were: I started getting into dives when I was 15. Didn't even need to gain entry cuz there was grass/bootleg booze all over the streets. I missed a lot of school, which I'm not particularly proud of, now. But, it was what it was.

@itchyd what are CBGBs?

CBGB was a dive bar in NYC that operated from the early-70s until the mid-aughts. It was a breeding ground for punk/alternative rock bands, giving groups like the Ramones, Talking Heads, Blondie and Patti Smith their starts.

There's a documentary about the club that got really bad reviews. But, I liked it. Maybe check it out, if you're bored.

I have four children. The first three have the same Birthday 2 years apart.
My name got in the press. Oh, OK........except when it was 9 months before my three children's Birthday, I STARTED GETTING CALLS FROM ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE SAYING IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO GET PREGNANT WITH #4. What? How'd that get out?
I was embarrassed. My husband worked for Western Electric...and they actually sent him home from work at 2:00, 9 months prior to my other children's Birthday to get me pregnant.
I would NOT sleep with him.
So, my fourth child was born in August, not June, and she questioned me for years why she did NOT have the same Birthday!!
Oh, BTW my son's daughter has his Birthday!

The famous boxer, George Foreman, named 5 of his sons "George" and one of his daughters Georgetta.
You didn't mention your kids' names.
Just curious....

I forgot to mention how amazing it is that 3 of your kids were born on the exact same day of the year!

Probably made it easier on Mom and Dad when they were younger: only one trip to Toys"R"us and Chuck E Cheese instead of three!
