Burning Mouth Syndrome (BMS): Anyone found any relief?

I have dealt with burning mouth syndrome for years with doctors and dentists saying it's no such thing. I also have multiple chemical sensitivities and now I am tasting any fragrance or chemical that I come in contact with. The burning mouth is exacerbated. I am miserable. I have reached out to Mayo Clinic and they say they don't deal with it and the fragrance/chemical is also considered a phantom disease.

Are you familiar with synesthesia?
You may be having some level of synesthesia. Sense of smell and taste are neurologically linked, so that is not surprising, but tasting a non-fragrant chemical is unusual.
Synesthesia is not a disease, rather it is an oddity of neurological response.
Good luck!
