DILTIAZEM SIDE EFFECTS
I have been taking Diltiazem 24H 120 MG for 30 days to treat tachycardia and have developed a sporadic ectopic rhythm. I'm between the PA that prescribed the medicine and an appointment with an electrophysiologist in 2 months. Is this significant t enough to find an interim cardiologist?

Yes I would try to see a cardiologist in the interim, and if that is not possible, at least your primary care.
I take the 30mg short-acting diltiazem for afib as needed, which is literally once a year, so don't have experience with what you are suffering from. I have experienced a drop in blood pressure on diltiazem and have read that it can prolong the QTc interval (mine is already a bit long). But I don't know about other side effects. A doctor will be helpful!
65yr old male, I’m taking diltiazem 120mg 24H ER twice daily, and have been for the past 25 yrs. Along with afib I have high blood pressure which this also treats. Most I’ve ever experienced was ankle swelling in the beginning but I suspect that was from another med I was on which escapes me now. Also some light headness.
One of Diltiazem’s side effects is edema. My EP took me off it and I just on a beta blocker.
