Has anyone experienced night sweats?
Every night my husband wakes up soaking wet and therefore freezing cold. It doesn’t matter what the weather is like, the room is cool and he doesn’t have too many blankets. Any thoughts?

I've had night sweats five times in the past year. I wake up cold each time-- I change my top once, twice and finally three times. I keep extra shirts by the bed so I can change easily if it occurs. I'm fortunate I don't get them more often (yet).
My husband also keeps towels and shirts by the bed. I hope you don’t ever get them more often. Thanks for responding.
Hi, @jtes. That is unfortunate about the night sweats. It sounds terribly uncomfortable for him and possibly for you if you share a bed.
@mleaser also has mentioned night sweats in combination with Parkinson's. Other members who may have some thoughts regarding managing your husband's night sweats are @tennis123 @SusanEllen66 @law59 @grabofsky @kerryberry and @hopeful33250.
Is your husband still experiencing night sweats regularly, jtes? If so, have you discovered any way to control them or quickly regulate his temperature?
No, we haven’t found anything better than his changing shirts and towels during the night. Interesting that I went through the same thing decades ago after giving birth but it only lasted a couple of weeks.
I’ve heard they give Botox for excessive sweating, I don’t know anything about it, I’ve only heard about it
Speak to your Doctor for sure, consider hormones or thyroid
We’ll do that at the next appointment. Interesting to think of Thyroid. Thanks!
Botox is used for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).any reputable dermatologist can administer. If you are interested in learning more Gene Helveston MD wrote a book on Botox called
“Death to Beauty”
It is on the history of Botox
My husband just got his first Botox injection for leg cramps/curling toes and it has helped. He’ll ask about the sweating at his next appointment. Thanks.
