To be honest, I’m confused what Class of drug Ramelteon actually is. I’ve read it works with melatonin receptors, I’ve read it’s a hallucinogenic, and I’ve also read it’s a CNS depressant. I too got the paper where it stated it can cause, sleep walking, making food, and driving with having no memory of this the next day. I too, was reluctant to take it because of that. I had a horrible experience with Ambien, which is a hypnotic. I was hallucinating, I was making and eating food, and sleep walking. When I finally took the 8mg, it did absolutely nothing! The next night my heart was racing and my anxiety was so bad, I was up all night. Not to mention the awful headache every time I took it. I was extremely disappointed as it really was the last hope for me. I have been on everything! And I mean everything! I just had a sleep test done, so we will see. I wish you luck and sleep soon…..
