@pitagirl

I read your story. I was dx: in 2003 with Fibro and 2006 approved for SSI. It was not even recognized as a disease in 2003, I can hear where you are coming from I was there. One being alone all day is probably causing you some depression I did but there is the help. Also, all the trigger points i have 16. I took Norco 6x for 6 yrs until i realized that those drugs were killing me. Had my doctor put me on Tramadol 3xday only 50 mg and savella 100mg 2xd. I know you say you don\'t drive but if you want to know what i did you would have to figure out how to get there. I joined the gym aqua therapy is a blessing your weightless. I even got myself into the gym after the therapy and took it slow. I found the light impact very slowly to start. I felt better. Did not help with the sleep issues we do not go into Rem sleeping crazy. Hope my words helped you.

Oh o.k. I didn't know they have infusions for this I'm behind times

Yes your Dr should look into it.  You have a Rheumatoligist right???

My chiropractor made me hurt worse. I can't stand to have anyone oush hard on my body. I know it works fir many.

Yes I have appt. But not till March 16 I,'ll ask her about it thanks Linda

I can't take massages they hurt but my chiropractor doesn't ,crazy huh.

The Infusions may be for RA only. But I don't why they would not use it on Fibromyalgia also. I think because Fibro could be so many things. But RA does have some common things. Most everyone with RA is using the same drugs. My feeling is that my RUMMI is trying everything to see what will work for me. I just know when I leave her office with that Steroid shot I am good to go all day long. I also receive the Steroid with the IV. What is it that you always hear not to use Steroids. What can they do you to. Anyone know? At least they are not Narcotics. But every doctor treat different test periods etc. One man who was in the Infusion room with me, goes everyday. I went every two weeks. I will be done next week. I will miss it. The guy who goes every week, calls it his Comfort measure. Whatever it takes. I have a referral to Pain Mgt now. Wonder what he will try. I must be cautious or double my pain with addiction. Believe me, if you have ever been addicted, you know what I mean. My doctor had me on Morphine. I stopped on my own and nearly died. Three nights in a row to ER. And now, my file reflects my addiction. GREAT..Doctor prescribes but it is my fault. The pain of coming off the morphine was horrible. I lived alone and my son helped me come down over the phone. Night and day, all the time on the phone with me. Than God I had him to talk to. The pain was almost to much to bear. I am surprised I did not have a heart attack. The 3rd night I told the abulance people to just let me die. No Doctor should ever do that to a patient. He knew, I didn't.

How horrible ,morphine is potent sorry you went through that When I fractured my back they gave me morphine horrible I was hallucinating .I just got off Predinisone it's a steroid where you take 3 down to 1over 6 days and day 7I was climbing walls I hurt so bad but now back on my meds.Steroids are hard on the kidneys @liver they must give a small amount to infuse that often.The tramadol +1Aleve work for me ,long time ago I was on Vicodan 3a day Rummi said this is not addictive this way God bless us all .take care Linda

Hi @oregongirl I was on hydrocortisone, which is a steroid, I believed and 2 dr's felt that my adrenals were weak, blood cortisol was low so I was on this steroid and it helped a good amount with pain and weakness but I was developing diabetes - my aic went from 5.6 to 6 on a very low carb diet like under 50 carbs a day which is extremely low. So that is one bad thing that can happen - I was on a low dose of hydrocortisone about 20mg a day.

@oregongirl and @doxyjune I was also on hydrocortisone and honestly it was the best I ever felt. I had adrenal fatigue and this was after I had open surgery for MALS, then my dad passed and a lot of stress. It was bad.... My arteries were narrowing again and my vascular surgeon said I need another procedure but would not do it until I was off the hydrocortisone. I was like " why I feel the best I have felt", and he said that's exactly why. it is covering up stuff, plus it has dangerous long term effects. 3 years later, that is still the bes I have felt...just my two cents...doesn't' really mean anything...

Hi @jmmb what did you do for the adrenal fatigue? I have such weakness in my legs. Since this started 20 years ago I seem to just decline.
