Has anyone ever been on Duloxetine (Cymbalta) for nerve pain?

Has anyone ever been on Duloxetine (Cymbalta) for nerve pain? I've had 2 doctors push this on me. I know that the side effects can be terrible and getting off of it difficult as it requires titration. One time I remember taking one pill, and not liking the way it made me feel, so not taking any more, and still feeling the "weirdness" from it 2-3 days later. and that was only 30 mg Please pass along any experience or advice from this medication?

My pcp started me on Cymbalta recently for chronic nerve pain from 6 back surgeries in 7 years and it has been life changing for me. It took out 90 percent of ALL of my different areas of nerve pain when used with my 1200mg of Gabapenin per day. Any side effects went away after a couple weeks. I wish were introduced to it years ago.

How effective was the 1200 of gaba on it's own?

I just hear on the news that they are recalling Duloxetine (Cymbalta) because it can cause cancer. It didn't work for me so I stopped a while ago after briefly using it. EVERYBODY BE CAREFUL!!!!!

It helped a lot, tried to wean of it twice over the years and much of my pain came back within a few days. The Cymbalta wiped out most remaining pain and helped my mood at the same time. Also as a plus,my insomnia went away due to my mind relaxing once I was in bed. Before,it was hard to turn off my thoughts about everything going on. Not anymore.

I take Cymbalta for pain and anxiety. Really helps and no side effects. I can’t believe it would be taken off the market!

Please see this article which reviews the research on antidepressants for pain management: https://www.paintreatmentdirectory.com/posts/antidepressants-for-pain-relief. Basically, they do little to nothing to relieve pain and can have serious side effects.
