Hi Michael, thank you very much for sharing your treatment experiences and results. I'm happy for your improvements in spine and hip/fn as well! After some readings, I was in awe of the complexy in managing hypercalciuria. You might have come across Dr. F Coe's articles for idiopathic hypercalciuria. He answers many readers' questions/labs should one seek answers. Wish you continued success!

I have been seeing Dr. Coe for the past two years. He is super knowledgeable but even he is stumped at my issue. 🙁

I know this is a stupid suggestion but here goes. Are you by any chance on a calcium channel blocker for elevated blood pressure? I had such a bad experience on one of them that I am willing to attribute anything negative to them.

Nope, but thanks for asking.

Wow! I sure hope someday you and your physician(s) could figure this out, or at the very least get it well under control.

I am 87 years old with three fractured vertebraea, probably from receiving Eligard shots after my prostate cancer treatment. I’ve had three Evenity shots so far. When should I expect to see some improvement in my osteoporosis?.

@ripley

What was your experience during your Evenity treatment, any side effects to mention? Thanks.

I took Evenity injections for 6 months and the entire time I had severe headaches and bad insomnia. I could only sleep
1-2 hours at a time for a total of 4 each night. I told my endocrinologist I can’t live like this anymore and am stopping the injections. She said I am her first patient to have these side effects which really bums me out because I was really hoping Evenity would work for me.
I had another Dexa scan that showed minimal improvement so I did not finish the last 6 months.
So now I’m just concentrating on my diet and weight bearing exercise hoping that will stop my bones from getting worse

@leemcc2007 many people have no side effects on Evenity. No disrespect to posters who do, but I have several friends on Evenity who are doing fine.

Evenity raises the P1NP, a bone marker for bone growth, dramatically in the first weeks. Since you are 3 months in it is probably hard to measure that- it was for me. When is your next DEXA?
