i have had 12 months of evenity to treat my OP without any improvement in my BMD. anyone else had this problem?

My bone markers would seem to show no effect on Evenity, but I just did two years of Tymlos. So sorry that you did 12 months with no results. I hope it at least prevented further loss.

@ingridbergman so it kept you from losing but didn't give you any gains. What will you do next? Do you think Evenity helped with bone quality if not density? I wonder what your doctor has to say on this.

Curious, were you on a drug prior to Evenity? Did you use the same facility for DEXA? Really sorry to hear this yet glad you didn't lose.

i had full dose reclast after evenity. the dexa was at the same facility, but not the same machine. the endocrinologist felt i had the evenity too close to my last reclast with only a year between my previous reclast and the evenity. she thought that was the reason.

Hi @ingridbergman - Following Reclast with Evenity will reduce the results for sure, but you still should have seem some benefit. Attached is a chart that shows some trial data.

My primary care doctor has not had good luck with Evenity and I'm not sure why. I also had poor results, but I contribute it to my hypercalciuria. You can't make bone if you are losing calcium faster than you can absorb it from your diet. Have you checked your 24 hour urine calcium? Also, you might want to get your 1,25(OH)2D measured just in case something whacky is going on there. Get your phosphorus checked as well. Disorders of low serum phosphorus can also be an issue. A few things for you to check out.
