Have you been cured of POST COVID?
I would love to hear from folks that have been cured from Post COVID. What were your symptoms.... what things helped you improve? what things made it worse for you?
I ask because I am currently on a recovery journey - would love to understand what you've done

Great news! I must say that I am worse after 4 years. I can’t walk well or stand up. I can’t seem to get enrolled in studies or programs. I got turned down by Mayo and another study. Where did you go?
What kind of IV infusion do you get?
I don't receive any infusions or any other treatment for that matter. The things I have tried have not worked.. paxlovid, accupuncture, physical therapy.
Carlos - That is great to hear! I considered LDN, but my understanding from people taking it (and medical professionals) one has to keep taking it or symptoms will return. The most reported change was the lifting of the fatigue. Return of that symptom(s) was also the experience of those who had stopping taking it. Were you told the same thing?
Hello Writer. Yes, that is exactly what I was told, same for Abilify. That you are on it for life (or until they find a cure). And like you said when you stop taking it symptoms will come right back. But at the low dose that I take - 3mg/day - there are no side effects, so completely worth it for the tremendous reduction in symptoms. For me I got huge reductions in fatigue, brain fog, pain breathing, and more.
I get 50mg tablets and dissolve them in 50 ml water to make a 1 mg/ml solution that I take with a syringe (no needle) - cost is under $5 dollars a year after insurance.
Good luck to you
I am not cured of post-Covid symptoms but would like to know your symptoms and what did you do to be on the road to recovery. It will be helpful for us still suffering from post-Covid symptoms. Like light at the end of a tunnel. Hopefully, you are fully recovered by now. Thank you.
I realise this is an older post - how have you been? Have you been able to finalise your protocol? I'd be interested to see it.
Thanks and all the best!
I am exactly the same as you... I cant walk without assistance from a walker and am so dizzy that I want to fall down all the time (luckily I haven't fallen though). It has been just over 4 years for me too. I have been tested for MS, Lyme and many other diseases with all negative results. I have now had maybe 25 infusions of gamma globulin (Gamma Gard) with little benefit. I just returned from Cleveland Clinic (because like you, I have tried many times to get into Mayo Clinic both in MN and FL with no luck). I am now being tested for Parkinson's even though I have very few symptoms. I would really recommend Cleveland Clinic however. I saw 3 doctors while I was there and got listened to at least. Keep me informed of how you are doing.
What type of infusions are you getting? I saw an immunologist this week and he said IVIG make people feel worse than better. Im at the point where id try just about anything.
I had Bronchitis/sinusitis/laryngitis in April, ended up on antibiotics and steroids. got better for about a week and ended up having a relapse while I was at the Mayo Clinic. another round of antibiotics/steroids....
last month I had post nasal drip, ended up having thrush all over my mouth, tongue, throat and still having lots of phlegm.
mmoose72, I see this is from an older post.
I could not tolerate the IV infusions. I am sensitive to everything. I took vitamin C, D & B vitamin infusions. Then we did 1 glutathione infusion for your immune system....I couldn't tolerate that either.
The first two caused extreme fatigue and the Glutathione caused me to itch all over. The doctor said I was too senstive for the IV infusions and I should have been able to tell a difference. It was far to drive for me and out of pocket. I tried his suggestions for 6 months and quit going after I kept having so many side effects to his treatments....too many to mention.
You sound so much like me. I have had more sinus infections, bronchitis & asthma flares since having had COVID. I am presently sick with another sinus infection & mild bronchitis. COVID wrecked my already weakened immune system.
I too ended up with thrush from all of the antibiotics and steroids. The doctor prescribed Diflucan.....that didn't cure it....then Chlormatzine tablets for thrush and finally 2 rounds of Nystatin mouth wash which finally knocked it out. Watch your sugar intake as sugar feeds thrush once you have it and makes it harder to get rid of. It took me about 4 months to clear up from all the thrush I had.
For the thick mucous and slimy saliva that I had, I use NAC 100 mg (I pour a lot of it out as I find its too much for me with 100 mg.....it's very drying and drys my mouth and eyes out too much) and I take Children's Zyrtec liquid 2.5 ml at night for long COVID per the Integrative Medicine doctor. Quercitin is also good for your inflammation/immune system...I can't do turmeric as it tears my stomach up. I am grateful this is gone after 2 years post COVID.
If you have a lot of mucous from sinus, have you tried irrigating your sinus with the NeilMed Sinus rinse? It really helps. I use it with the packet of saline that comes with it and distilled warm water. IF you use cold distilled water it can give you a headache. Blow your nose gently.
Thought: Aske your immunologist to do a Gene Mutation testing on you. I found out that my body does not detox properly and absorb the B vitamins well. Hence, he put me on the methyl folates.
Please ask your doctor before trying any of these. It has taken a while to see improvement from COVID.
Praying for you as I totally empathize too how wearying this can be. Bless you.
P.S. A dear friend of mine that battles cancer and a lot of sinus/lung issues, declares that Mullein 120,000 mg blend liquid by Herbify is helping her sinus & lungs. I am a little leary of it due to the flowers in the ingredient. Ask your doctor about this please before you try.
