Timing to take Sinemet

I am having a problem on knowing when to take Sinemet in the morning. I have hypothroidism and I take Synthoid, and I have to wait 1 hour before eating. I have been taking Sinemet after that hour. It is important for me to wait about 1/2 hour before eating breakast? I am retired and do not always get up at the same time, depending on when I go to bed, and I know I need my sleep, with PD.

I also don’t get up at the same time every morning. I take my Rytary when I get up and then schedule it every four hours. I set my alarm on my phone so I can record when I take my first dose and then I time it for every four hours. I take two pills four times a day.

My spouse has hypothroidism as well. He takes Synthroid an hr. before his other drugs. He still is good with his meds. I still help him if needed. When you have these two conditions together..fatique is ever present. Hugs !

wonder if synthroid prescribed for energy boost when thyroid need marginal at best to help with pd! ask doc

I have been taking synthroid a very long time, I generally take my synthroid 1/2 hr after I take my Sinemet. I have good throid control. , My doctor had me trying to take the meds together and she couldn't control the thyroid med, Good luck.

I usually go back to sleep. I was taking my Sinemet @5am. My schedule has changed now I tkae it about 5:30 or 5:45 am. My PCP wants to to wait 1/2hr after I take my synthroid , to eat and to not eat 1 hr before and after the Sinemet.
