Check out our new Connect Page on Living Donation

Hi everyone, I’m Kristen, a marketing specialist here at Mayo. It’s an honor to follow this discussion group and hear about everyone’s journey to transplantation. I’m often blown away by the strength, wisdom and support that’s shared in here. Thank you for being part of this community!

I wanted to let you know that on Friday we launched a new Connect page that may interest you. The topic of the page is living donation, and it’s geared toward patients seeking a living kidney or liver donor, as well as prospective donors. Some features of the page include a blog, recipient toolkit, donor toolkit, FAQs about living donation, overview of the living donor care team, resources, events and more. Many patients are afraid to ask loved ones or acquaintances to be a living donor. This page will help educate and prepare patients to navigate the entire process of finding a living donor.

We’d love for you to explore the page and let us know what you think. Feel free to leave a comment or send me a direct message sharing what you like, and also what you think we missed. If you find the information helpful, would you consider sharing it with others in your network?

Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Visit the Transplant Page on Connect.

Check out the new Transplant Page https://connect.mayoclinic.org/page/transplant/

Pages are a new feature on Mayo Clinic Connect. They include a Newsfeed of blog posts written by Mayo Clinic specialists, writing about the topics you care about. You'll also find a toolkit for transplant recipients and for living donors that you can share with friends and family, and potential donors.

Pop on over and let us know what you think.

Hi all and happy Friday!

We continue to add content to our new transplant blog. Today our team of registered dietitians share why they recommend the Mediterranean diet to patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Even if you're not a NASH patient, you might enjoy some of the recipes they share. I'm definitely adding the almond crusted chicken to my meal plan for next week!

Enjoy and let us know if there are other topics you'd like to see covered on the blog.

Hope this message finds everyone well. Happy Friday!

Wanted to share our most recent post on the transplant blog - hand washing! 'Tis the season for flu and colds so I hope these tips from our transplant RNs are a good refresher for you. Be sure to watch the Jimmy Kimmel clip for a good laugh 🙂
