I stumbled across these wonderful YouTube videos for LC diagnostics and treatments!

Wish I would have found these last year!
So wanted to share with everyone 😊

Would you (or someone) be able to narrow down where this “Dr. Patterson Protocol” discussed? I see a lot of people mentioning it in the comments, but I don’t have the focus to sift through a 30 page paper or 5.5 hours of video, and when I search for Patterson in the paper there are only two occurrences, both in the citations (and even those are two different people).

Sure! Basically Radiance Diagnostics has lab testing to determine whether someone has LC, or post vac.https://theradiancediagnostics.com/catalog/

Then they have a treatment protocol of maravoric and atorvastatin to clear the spike protein out of the “rogue” monocytes. And they’ll do a consultation with you after you get your lab results but you have to have a primary care doctor to prescribe and follow their protocol https://www.covidlonghaulers.com/

I'm so grateful to be receiving IVIG for my long Covid and the assortment of autoimmune diseases it has awakened and created. It has saved my life. I would probably be doing somewhat ok if my thyroid were not hyper.

Hi, thank you for sharing about your ivig treatment. I would like to ask you how long did it take to feel better. How often do you have your infusions? Thanks

Hi!
Just curious if you’re using GammaGuard due to underlying autoimmune issues or any other underlying issues beyond long covid? Or just for LC?

I was prescribed Gamma Gard infusions for neuropathy. It seems to help some, but I have had maybe 24 infusions already.

Thanks for those links…watched the Ben Sinclair one…Notice they are both working privately…bit pricey. I might contact them to see if they could help me, as their conversation hardly touched my symptoms, and was nothing like their own LC….my worst symptoms relate to BP/HR : high at rest but BP drops dramatically after standing about 8 mins to 61/40, and if I don’t sit quickly I faint.
I’ll look at the diabetic one tomorrow, it’s 0.45 here.

@wilsonanderson LC since 9/2020. My worst symptoms, among many!, for the first couple years was random heart rate spikes [as high as 200bpm] with/without exertion and dips [as low as 40bpm usually following the high spike] accompanied by shortness of breath and chest pain/pressure. My resting heart rate was 80’s-90’s when in the before it was 60’s-70’s. I had a Tilt Table Test done and was diagnosed with “Postural Orthostatic Hypotension”. My symptoms with that sound very much like what you’ve explained about your BP. I never fainted, but, whether in my kitchen or aisle of a store, I was known to slide down to the floor, before I had a chance to faint or fall. I’m on automatic pilot, now, when I go into a room looking for a chair to sit on or wall to lean on. A little over a year ago my COVID Recovery Clinic doc prescribed a low dose of Metoprolol to see if it would level out my heart rate issues without lowering my BP. For me, it was like a miracle drug. Immediately my episodic HR spikes/dips ceased and my resting HR was and remained back down to 60’s-70’s. Certainly worth discussing with your doc to see if it might work its wonder on you. My best to you in a complete recovery and return to a thriving life.

I can’t quite catch the name of the drug Dr Patterson is taking about, I thought it was a statin but in the UK they all have similar word endings, nothing like he seems to be saying..what is it he suggests dosing in very low doses used for cholesterol etc normally?

@wilsonanderson LC since 9/2020. In the earliest days, Dr Patterson had a different and lab test and treatment protocol that was based on the use of ivermectin. I had (paid for) the lab test but my PCP would not follow the treatment protocol. I would be sure to listen to your treating physicians and discuss with them anything before jumping in with anyone else. Best to you!

I’ll do some homework, never come across Metoprolol, so will have to see if we have it in Uk, or known by a different name. Yes today was in a supermarket without any chairs/ benches yet it’s larger one where I live has quite a few…wretched covid not only gave me my symptoms but also took seats away! I will know I am better when I can cook a family favourite cauliflower and macaroni cheese, without diving for the chair every minute and also taking 2 to 3 times the time to make! Good health.

Reply to self? I watched the beginning of the diabetic podcast but it was talking about type 2, I’m a type 3c caused by a routine procedure to remove a blockage in my bile duct going wrong and ending up in ICU with septic shock and acute pancreatitis followed by insulin dependent diabetes!

@wilsonanderson Metoprolol (Generic for Lopressor and Toprol XL) [I was prescribed 25MG-Metoprolol Succinate ER. So low-dose.]
https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/metoprolol/about-metoprolol/
I was talking with my husband one day while on the other side of our kitchen counter. I was there one minute and gone the next … “Where are you?” - “Just on the floor. Couldn’t stand any longer.” Another time he came into the kitchen and I was laid over on the counter. And my recliner is only 3 steps away from the counter. Couldn’t make it.

I do hope you find some remedies. There is no one magic pill. But hitting individual symptoms is better than nothing. My quality of life has improved. Maybe that will be it, but I’ll take it!
