I use mucinex once daily as a part of airway clearance. After a lot of experimentation I found what works best for me is name brand Mucinex 1200 mg extended release bi-layer tablets. I tried to save money with generics but they did not work as well as the brand. If I took an evening dose my chest was very rattly at night so I stopped and take one dose in a.m. only. As an added benefit, mucinex seems to help my sinuses as well.

When taking it in the morning does it make you tired and does the Mucinex actually help get more sputum up during ACT's? I just wasn't sure if it completely dried you up.

Mucinex (guaifenesin alone) shouldn't make you tired. It thins mucus, but from my expeience it doesn't dry you up. I have taken it for 40 years because I have always had thick sticky mucus that contributed to chroonic ear and sinus infections.
When you buy Mucinex, you need to get the MucinexER (extended release), not MucinexDM or their other formulations with added ingredients.

Seconding what @sueinmn said about mucinex. Between inhaled hypertonic saline and mucinex it increases the volume of gunk making it easier to huff out. I take it daily and have not noticed fatigue. Your experience might be different as bronchiectasis is heterogeneous (varied and diverse) but it's worth a try.
I use Mucinex ER 600 mg off and on. I do not do well taking anything every day. So, I take it perhaps once a week? And I take other things rotationally that also seem to help get the mucus out. Sometimes the Mucinex really works and other times less so. I do always notice a sedating effect from it and some GI upset but I get both of those easily so doubt others would. It is worth trying for sure. Experiment and see what works for you.

Could you share the brand name, if you don’t mind? I was taking it once a day, in the morning as well, but I’m pretty sure I was buying the 600 mg extended release bi-layer tablets.
The 1200 mg in the morning would seem to work better to clear lungs and sinuses during the day and make sleep easier?

Have you tried Mucinex?
