Hello @joem, if you are comfortable, do you mind sharing a bit more about what brought you to Mayo Clinic Connect? You mentioned Amlodipine and irbesartan therapy for high blood pressure, is there a particular issue or question you have about them?

Hello, and thank You for your interest. I have been following Mayo Clinic for years.
I have been taking Irbesartan 300 since 2010 and now a new cardiologist wants me to take hydrochloride and amlodipine, to keep my b/p under 120/80.
I am starting to have doubts. My b/p fluctuates between 110/79 to 130/8. My feet only start to swell after being standing more tha 16 hours.

Hi, I have high blood pressure also that varies and I take Ramipril and Amlodipine.
If it goes low I just skip a day but I monitor my BP at home daily.

My problem is low blood pressure. I've been on the max dose of both Midodrine and ]droxidopa for several years, and I stay pretty well hydrated, yet my BP drop is too high to allow me to safely stand up unassisted, even with a rollator. I tried fludrocortisone several years ago, but water retention caused me to gain 30 pounds in 30 days! If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears!
