Does anyone have suggestions on how to reset your digestive system
After not being able to digest food and being put on a feeding tube how do you reset your system to start eating again so that you’re getting nutrition and the tube can be removed. I know you start with liquids then soft food but I’ve read that the digestive system needs to take a break and reset.

I'm nowhere near an expert on this, but if I were on my own and had to restart my gastro-intestinal tract, I would do two things: start probiotics, good ones, and commence with simple starches and a bit of fiber, maybe a boiled egg thrown in because they're such great food. So rice, noodles, a small beet, some kale or chard/collard greens, even a potato would be okay. The two concerns might be/might NOT be, electrolytes, especially in the two or three days after the feeding tube is removed, and not overdoing the fiber.
You should get plenty of instruction from the people providing you with care when you get released from the tube. Please follow that, and not my own prescription.
Thanks!
Hi, I start with probiotics, one small bite of unpasteurized sour kaur daily and one teaspoon of Fairchild raw apple cider vinegar, diluted with water. I 'd eat eggs and drink bone broth, I'd avoid all starches and carbohydrates. I add fish, chicken, and very slowly nuts and blueberries.
