Take any vaccine anytime anywhere.
Preferably Moderna.

No! I got covid in July 2020 and the fatigue never left, got the vaccine 8 months later and went down hill from there. I am collecting autoimmune diseases like postage stamps along with PMR.

I've had all the vaccines, and have had Covid two times - all mild. The most recent one, two years ago, was so mild that my only symptom was apathy, which shocked me, because by nature, I tend to care about everything! I wouldn't have guessed it was Covid if it hadn't been the fact that I'd been to a family event where so many people got it that I tested myself, and was positive. A month or so after that, the 'brain fog' - confusion, memory loss, inability to stay on task, and serious depression set in. For six months, I couldn't work, got lost driving, forgot how to do the simplest things like turning my car off, and wasn't always sure what a red light meant. It gradually improved, 'tho I would have weeks when it would return.
Recently, I had a setback and was again confused and often unable to finish sentences. My work suffered, and I thought I'd need to quit again.
Two weeks ago, I got a Covid vaccine. It did its usual thing with me, putting me to bed with chills and body aches for 24 hours. Two days later, I felt both physically and mentally like I haven't felt in two years. My thinking is organized and clear, and I can learn new things and actually remember them!
The immune system is so complex, and every person with LC experiences it somewhat differently. It's hard to make generalizations about what works and what doesn't. I do believe that my sudden improvement was probably related to getting the vaccine, but I also understand that it wouldn't necessarily work for everyone.

Thank you. I will add this as well. I want all aspects being seen. Everyone is different. Also, the vaccine is different based on the Manufacturer, lots that your vaccine came from and how it’s handled. I say this hoping they were all handled as expected, ie refrigeration and dates of expiration etc. We are all human and mistakes happened. Look why you are even being vaccinated. Plus, I’ve had a friend who was a surgeon assistant vaccinated and had heart issues from it that she had to have a pace maker. 36 years old and very healthy.. It’s a gamble either way. My doctor advised against my getting vaccine, as it makes me so sick. He said managing another covid infection would be easier. I got original variant and have always reacted badly to the shots.

I’ve had Covid 3 times, I think( bit difficult to confirm as no testing available for two of these, but positive for third) and 3 covid jabs…yet I have had Long Covid over 4 1/2 years. Time if anything made original symptoms of high BP/HR, breathlessness with effort, and lack of sense of smell worse. So I went down route of no more Covid jabs this time, tho had flu one; husband who has no long term effects of covid or jab, just had his 4th covid jab this week, perhaps to ‘protect’ me!

I have had all the Covid vaccines except the one last October. My lifestyle did not change, and in November 2023 I contracted COVID for the first time, along with pneumonia. I was very ill, but recovered after a few weeks, except now, I have LONG COVID. It's going on one year now, but symptoms are improving. So yes I did get the latest vaccine about six weeks ago. I know too many people who have LC that did not get vaccines. I made that mistake once. I won't make it again.

Absolutely. I have gotten 2 every year since they came out. I had Covid once along with pneumonia and long Covid since then. Long Covid symptoms have for the most part improved but since I have chronic fatigue syndrome, I’m not taking any chances. Vaccinations are lifesaving. My 77 year old cousin has polio with 10% lung capacity. I had a classmate die of measles. My 35 year old son had pertussis this year. I get the flu shot every year. I’ve had pneumonia and RSV vaccines. I was a critical care nurse for 40 years.

I have been dealing with LC for a year. I had the vaccine 3 times and caught covid 3 times. Before covid I never got sick - I am 59 and haven't had a cold or flu since the late 1980's. No more vaccines for me.
