I was sitting on my recliner at home when all of a sudden i had this electrocution run through my body from head to toe even finger tips. I actually felt it leave from toes and it was a burning sensation throughout my body. What happened to me?

Were your muscles affected? Is the chair electric?

mollyg1, there are lots of choices my favorite would be B12 deficiency, hormonal imbalance would be my second choice. Other options are not as easy to remedy. Was it only once, was it painful, was your neck bent forward when it happened.

Do you think it could be your neck? Do you have a neuro who could order an MRI and/or do an EMG? Has the sensation recurred?

Still, you might mention the reaction to your internal medicine provider.
This sign can be indicative of autoimmune when it occurs with the neck bent.
I think you've gone with my second choice.
But, have you found anything on TV worthwhile. People are having reactions to the election news.
Bless your recovery.

Something similarly happened to a friend who had cervical spine issues. After she had cervical spine surgery, the condition resolved.
