Acupuncture?
Has anyone tried acupuncture as a supplementary treatment
for Parkinson's Disease? I've had a couple sessions and it's
seemed to help me sleep better.

Hello @gregopp211 and welcome to Connect. Yes, I have had an acupuncture treatment, and I did sleep well afterwards. I'm not sure that there is any evidence that it can help with PD symptoms, but it is relaxing.
As this is your first post, I am wondering how long ago you were diagnosed.
What other ways are you dealing with PD symptoms?
I was diagnosed with Parkinsonian Syndrome in February 2016 but I had tremors
before then. In addition to medication, I've done LSVT Big exercise therapy,
physical therapy and therapeutic message. Each helps a bit but the PD continues
to progress.
Hi, @gregopp211 - I wanted to add my welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.

@gregopp211, it sounds as though acupuncture had some effects on your sleep. Have you noticed any other effects from this treatment?
Yes. My most recent treatment on Monday had negative effects. When
I got up from lying down in my bed, I was dizzy. A few minutes later, I
broke out in a sweat. If this happens again, I will suspend acupuncture
treatments. So far, three out of four treatments have been positive.
I had a somewhat similar experience as yours with the one acupuncture treatment. In my experience, the acupuncturist used very hot lights above the table. Heat has always made my neurological symptoms worse, so this made going back questionable to me.
I have decided to give it another try, though. When I return for another acupuncture treatment, I'm going to ask her to reduce the heat lamps and then see if that helps with the exhaustion and the neurological symptoms that I had previously.
Here is some information from the American Parkinson's Disease Association website about how people with PD have "temperature regulation" problems.

Did you also have a lot of heat lamps, @gregopp211? Does heat and hot weather tend to exacerbate your neurological symptoms?
Unfortunately, I haven't found a suitable acupuncturist in my current location. The traditional practice of pulse diagnosis, often involving wrist assessment, seems to be less common here. Additionally, consistency in practitioners is challenging, and the overall focus appears to be more on a mechanical approach than on the flow of Qi energy.
No heat lamps were used during any of my acupuncture treatments.
I've noticed no change in my symptoms due to heat or hot weather.
