Pelvic organ prolapse
I won’t get to see a urogynecologist until Dec. for pelvic organ prolapse. I was wondering if any suggestions on how to relieve this very uncomfortable feeling until my appointment (other than a pessary). (Also, have tried tampons which won’t stay in).

it should be applied to the vaginal tissues
some come with an applicator to make it easier but most are generally a "fingertip" worth (or 1 gram) into the vagina and a smalll portion on the vulva, the external area, to help with the thinning of the tissues due to loss of estrogen and can impact the urethra leading to symptoms mirroring UTIs and unnecessary doses of antibiotics.

I am scheduling robotic ventral mesh rectopexy and sacrocolpopexy with partial hysterectomy (leaving cervix & only talked about removing uterus). I am post-menopausal, so no reason to keep my ovaries.
Is it more involved to remove the uterus and ovaries during this surgery?
Also of note -I have a sigmoidocele, rectal intussusception and cystocele.
My colorectal surgeon said that I should expect an overnight stay postop.
I've heard a variety of answers on postop recovery time, and I'm sure is based on individual physical condition.
The information I received from my colorectal surgeon says to anticipate "being off work for 4 weeks" and "no lifting over 10 pounds for 4-6 weeks." This info is specific to the ventral mesh rectopexy. I don't have info on the partial hysterectomy & sacrocolpopexy.
Insight to the recovery for both procedures would be appreciated. Is this considered a "major" surgery? Both the colorectal and urogyn surgeons talked as if both procedures would be robotic/laparoscopic so wouldn't be very limiting beyond 6 weeks.
I'm messaging both surgeons to get more insight from their perspective, but would appreciate feedback from patients who have had these procedures.
I have a prolapsed bladder after two surgeries and it is causing urinary tract infection that is not responding to antibiotics. It has been 4 weeks of various courses of vaginal and oral drugs. I have an appointment on Mar 4 with urigynecologist and need to know what to do till I can see her. I am so very uncomfortable and have a constant urge to urinate and pressure.
Have you tried drinking 100% Cranberry juice-no sugar added, not the "Ocean Spray" type but the health food type with absolutely no added sugar or sugar substitute. It can possibly help with the urging and pressure! If caught early enough, it has helped me in the past to ward off a UTI. I have had a prolapsed bladder for about 10 years now, but chose to use a pessary rather than have the surgery, and it has worked well for me. I'm 71.
