For those who have severe LC, would you want the new vaccine?

I ask because I got worse when vaccinated. My symptoms were slowly exacerbated. Give me your thoughts and history of vaccines.

@carlosmayo

Yes, just got the latest booster and have had long covid since early 2021. Only consequence was a day of flu like symptoms. The benefit I believe is that it reduces the chance of going to the ICU or dying from a possible future covid infection.

@wilsonanderson,
I have the same feeling as you do in the US. I have had long Covid almost 4.5 years from 1st infection. 3.5 years since the most bang one. My Drs don’t seem to want me to have it. I’m really not wanting it. Hope that is best!!

At this point I am not going to get anymore vaccines. I had a reaction to one where my legs were on fire and so weak I could hardly stand up. I sometimes feel that some of my Long COVID issues stems from the vaccine. But who really knows. But how horrible I feel and the symptoms I have now with Long COVID getting COVID hopefully will be minor.

I am starting with the flu shot next week. I'll check with with multiple doc about Covid shot, but I know I can't handle Covid since I now have A-fib and medication 2X daily.

My doctor advised against my getting new covid shot, as I have such bad reactions to it, although I did get flu shot and even that made me sick for a few days

No way! I am done with Covid Vaccines. I feel I have enough antibodies and not sure about some of the health issues they may have caused me.

I am not a doctor. I can only make a decision based on my knowledge, experiences, and wisdom from people I trust, including many of you.

At the moment I am juggling multiple arduous affects and flare ups. of long Covid- it’s been along 2 1/2 years. In my personal case, I don’t feel comfortable adding another variable into the mix. That’s just where I’m at, no suggestion for others.

I completely agree with you. I’m not sure that it was not the two vacs that messed up my natural immunity after the first covid. (I had had no vacs). I then got two vacs and got COVID again and it was awful. I’m surprised I am alive today!

I got covid again and it was awful!😢

I just posted a video below to a few others in this link. Take a look Yaya and give your feedback. OTHERS AS WELL!. This Dr has a lot of info posted and shown on YouTube. Google him. There is one that he is in Pennsylvania speaking in front of Senate (I think the Senate)
That is very interesting.

I have had long COVID since December. 2023. It was a bad case of COVID that also led to pneumonia. I recovered in about a month. In early December I developed LONG COVID the major symptoms were extreme heart palpitations, extreme fatigue and extreme brain fog. I am a professor and I could barely keep my mind on my topics of discussion.
The fatigue improved over time, and so did the brain fog but the palpitations which were constant 24/7 never took a break for almost a year. Up until a week or two ago.
About a month ago, I received the newest COVID vaccine because I was going to travel cross-country. Within three weeks, my 24/7 PVCs and/or SVTs and occasional AFIB episodes stopped and I now have normal sinus rhythm.
I had received all COVID boosters except for one. And that is the one that was out the end of 2023. I put it off and ended up getting COVID pneumonia.
Just saying......everyone is different, but for me, I will get every booster that is available every year. COVID messed up my heart, not vaccines.
Good luck to all!

I am still undecided about the vaccine. I took all but the current vaccine and still had Covid 3 times albeit mild cases. I did get my flu vaccine as usual. Since having covid I developed uveitis. One of the recurrences of the uveitis occurred a week after getting a covid booster. However i have had other recurrences of the uveitis. I now travel with the prescription eye drops the retina specialist gave me. I can tell when a recurrence is coming and if away from home , I start treating it until i can get to my doctor. Covid has also left me with mild heart issues and a weakened pulmonary system.
