This is my 1st day on this group. I developed Grover's 11/2/20 New unwashed Dark Green Tee Shirt sleeping under electric blanket. Treated with Steroid Cream. Five weeks later got fissures on finger tips right hand. (never told correct procedure. Back of hands itch if skin temperature hits 90F. Hands look like 90 year old man. Made the mistake of not going to U of Penn Dermatology Dept. Going this week to see what can be done. I and 77 and was in great health. Low blood pressure, Low sugar ride bike 5 miles each day. Work in my garage on 21 dodge and 38 pontiac. Was a happy camper till this dreaded disease got me. Thanks to feedback from fellow Grovies.

I want to give you hope which you won't hear from any dermatologist. I had even written up what we have done on this site and shared with my 2 dermatologists and they seem uninterested. No money to be made in this home remedy. As you have learned steroids give only a small percentage with of us any relief. Those of us who had been blogging for a while learned about a metal detox using cilantro and it works for around 50% of us. Recent studies tie heavy metals to Parkinson's and GD. Google it. Heavy metals have been know to lead to Alzheimer for years.
Kimass1 learned of this treatment from an EarthClinic GD blog and I believe that posting was Feb 17, 2019. Her contribution gave me my life back. I consider her my guardian angel.
I am still clear to this day as well as many others. It's fantastic to be able to be active outside in the summer heat, look forward to getting into bed without back pain and itching.
Most of us that did get relief with this treatment noticed improvement within a month.
Best wishes.
