My swollen glands are on both sides of my neck just below my jawbone. When they swell up, it is hard to swallow some food like pastries which are soft, they get caught in my throat, which causes my body to get the food out of my throat. Which ends up removing the food, but also alot of dry heaving for a few minutes after.
Yum, pastry sounded good until the dry heaving part. lol. Thank God you didn’t choke. I was reading on the glands. The immune systems effects those glands and I’m sure you have been told like me, there is an immune issue. I keep seeing it related to Lupus and Sjögren's syndrome. For those of us with these gland issues, mention this.
Hello,
I have lumps on either side of my neck, but not on the neck. They rest posterior to the bae of the neck. I also have a swollen lower face. After a year of seeking help locally with no answers, I went to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fl. For me it's the Buccal glands in the mouth that have herniated. Impossible to think that both ENT specialists I saw were clueless. The only remedy for me is to have liposuction. I did, and am not sure if they continue to herniate, or the doctor did not remove enough. Each day is different with the amount of swelling. This coming week I go back for additional removal. There is nothing to be done for the lumps beside my neck as there are too many nerves there. And the MRI says its an accumulation of fat, there and also the ones on my face. Of course we do not know if this is Covid related.
I also have hyperhydrosis.
Wishing everyone all the best.

My specialist have tested for those auto immune diseases, and they came back negative. My blood counts have been off, so I know my immune systems is not functioning normal. Which is why I stay away from sick people, and where a mask in public.
If you have ever had mono, you may also be activating Epstein-Barr which has been lying dormant. If you have been super tired in combination with this and your immune system is worn down, maybe asking them to test for it, might be worth it. ** Not a medical professional** It might be worth it for the ENT or PCP to look into it as suggested above.
Thanks for your response. Is your hyperhydrosis caused by Covid?
I have had a CT scan and an MRI, nothing showed up that would cause the sweating, only that the swelling on the neck area and my face are fat deposits.
All of these issues have arisen after Covid. Right now there are no answers.
Good luck

Interesting. I also have hyperhydrosis. Now I did get a CT scan too that said saliva glands were swollen. The point is why 🤔
