Rest: How do you use rest during the day?
I am hoping that someone will explain how they use rest during the day? I don’t think I am incorporating rest where it is needed. I am new to long covid and need a game plan. Can any of you describe what you do when you are doing an activity and feel your symptoms start kicking in?

Hey Lori, I’m just seeing this at 3:10am. My sleep schedule WAY OFF. The can’t work anymore drives me nuts so while I’m not able to sleep I read a lot on this stuff. I’ll text you when I get up. Putting your number in now so I don’t have to find it in a tread tomorrow. Boston area. Cold coming soon enough!!
See if this works Lori. Sent another on a different tread. It keeps kicking me off on my phone when I look for posts I saved. No worries. I get it to you now. lol.

Here is another.

Thank you for the link to the NPR article on PEM. I feel much better knowing the likely muscle-cell cause of my PEM. I’ll save the article for future re-reading.
I hope to participate in the upcoming RECOVER-ENERGIZE clinical trial of “Pacing” as a way for people with PEM to manage it. There will be 40+ study sites across the country. Recruiting has begun. People can find out more about it online.
NP. I understand and I’m in the exact same boat as you. Type A people should not be forced to live this way. It’s horrible.
Was this in my article? I too have PEM. RECOVER-ENERGIZE Clinical trail??? How did you hear of this?
Just looked it up. I see. Not sure where you saw the locations. I’d love to sign up.

@mclelland1958, your question reminded me of the Spoon Theory.

Have you heard of this method of understanding pacing?
