long covid

Posted by carmelbythesea @carmelbythesea, Jul 26, 2023

I have been having problems ever since I got my first two covid shots over 2 years ago. I have the typical brain fog and fatigue but also extreme sweating and chills. I am covered in sweat 24/7. So I noticed that some of my symptoms are similar to the people with long covid and I am trying some supplements to see if they will help.

This is a brutal thing to go through and the doctors do not have any answers.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like you have been through a lot.

I think I am getting closer to some help. It appears I may have Long Post Covid Vaccination Syndrome or
LPCVS. More and more doctors are recognizing this. All my problems started after I got my first 2 covid shots over 2 years ago. I also have a terrible problem with chills so the cold plunges might be difficult but I may give it a try.

Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Yes. SO sorry to hear that carmelbythesea. There are many cases of people who developed symptoms from the vaccinations alone. Truly a shame. This was widely reported (in unofficial, forum like settings like this one) by many, many people. I hope you get answers for your recovery. Many of the same protocols work, by the way, for long haul Covid, and the vaccine reaction like you mentioned. Wishing you all the best!

Yes, profuse night sweats, changing pjs (more than once per night) and sheets in the middle of the night but freezing cold at the same time. Vaccinated 1/21 and 2/21. I would never get another vaccine. Good for some but not others.

Because of the constant chills (all summer),I have not tried the cold plunge but I do take as cool of a shower as I can tolerate and try to end it with a minute or two of colder water. I’m trying to build my way up to colder. Maybe you could start there? They do say this is very beneficial to your health. I have not found anything yet to combat the debilitating fatigue. And Thank you Car0 I will check out the thread on sweating as well!
So glad I found you guys ❤️

Lindy,

I believe I have already responded to you in another post here but just in case, for anyone else reading as well, B-3 niacinamide (non-flushing form only) WILL help with the debilitating fatigue. It's because niacinamide is the pre-cursor for the body to make NAD on it's own again. NAD is so crucial because it is needed for all bodily function. Some people only needed the B-3 to feel well again -- those cases seem fairly mild. But it does work. I was taking 2000mg per day, when at my absolute worst. I still take 500mg-1000mg every so often, just to keep it in my system.

Taurine will help for nervous system health/regulation as well. You may be at too early a stage for cold plunges, but chiropractic and cranial sacral therapy may be of great use. I just happened to get in a car accident, when I was also suffering with long haul, and I think the chiropractic care DID work for both. Sometimes I wonder if that was the actual reason for the accident (when I was praying for answers).

Covid does something to the body at the cellular level -- it is really terrible (as we all know) because clearly it stops many typical functions from happening, which then creates a horrible cascade effect into many systems. That's why I have always looked for the baseline/root deficiencies first.

i can say all my covid symptoms are NOT from any vaccine...they are from covid...plus everything for me started Dec 2019, way before any vac came out..i feel bad for those that did have a reaction to any vac..makes me curious why we are all so different with so many similar OR different symptoms..i pray for all of us to get through this crap thing and get better....some of my symptoms have gotten better...some still continuing to keep me miserable...i will not give up !!

I'm in the 3rd year. Definitely improving butt slowly.

I'm 75. Fatigue mostly gone. Cognitive issues remain but they are fading.

Still have 24/7 tinnitus, although not as loudly.

Still have permanent 24/7 diarrhea. Do others suffer that last affliction?

it is because the autonome nerve system is not working anymore. its the covid vaccination. in my case it built a polyneuropathie.
7/24 pain and no taste with food. its hell. doctors dont give me opiate.

Has anyone tried Rapamycin for fatigue symptoms? Wondering if it was helpful.
Thank you.

Yeah... definitely don't get anymore of the vaccines... Sorry to hear that. There are PLENTY of people who end up with Covid/long haul symptoms from simply getting the boosters etc.

There are answers though. You must balance your nervous system. Have you tried cold plunges or ice baths? This tends to be a "reset" for every system in the body. I never had profuse sweating so I can't speak directly to that, but I did heal 90% from all my other long haul symptoms. I wish you all the very best!

What other symptoms disappear? Was it by using the cold plunges?
My husband does not experience the sweats. His symptoms are:
Brain fog - forgets easily & is beginning to show deficits in his spelling!. I’m a former Spec Ed teacher & use techniques to help him. He has always been an excellent speller.
He is fatigued, bowel probs so I did a fast recently of lemon water, 8 glasses for 8 hours no food or other hydrant & it helped his bowels. I read COVID is in the intestines. Will do again within a month. This is a practice of mine I began years ago while doing yoga.
