Terrible heads aches and tinnitus

Posted by dlre95 @dlre95, Sep 18 9:08am

Does anyone have any suggestions for long covid headaches and tinnitus. DRs think all in my head which of course it is. No one takes it seriously. Told me to see psychiatrist. I have many more sympyoms but these are the worse.

I had covid for the first time in August and I started Paxlovid on the same day that I had a positive covid test. I am also having Tinnitus often. I have hearing loss and I have had Tinnitus in the past but not this severe. I am also having many ocular migraines. This is concerning to me because in 2010 I was having a lot of ocular migraines and I ended up with a mini stroke and then I lost my sense of taste which has never come back.

Do you have LC? Drs are so limited in knowing anything about LC. They just started admitting it is real and a lot longer and a true disability. I get headaches every now and then but the tinnitus never stops. It’s so bad that adding other noises like TV, I have to blast the TV to overpower it. My family hates it. Says the people down the street can hear it. lol.

Yeah, unfortunately.i did have migraines prior to covid but they have grown exponentially worse. The tinnitus too. I love it when doctors don’t have the education or knowledge to help so they lay it on us. Jeez
Idk wh we t practitioners you’ve seen but an ENT might help with the tinnitus. The headaches I’m still working on, and have just seen a long covid specialist. I’m going to get the stellate ganglion blocks next month and that can address many symptoms. Haven’t had much luck with anything else.
Good luck!

Let us know about that block. I just read about it. If it could control the heart rate, blood pressure and sweating, great! That would be three of the thirty-five symptoms gone. Yay

Apparently it’s best to avoid caffeine but I’ve never seen a difference in my migraines or tinnitus by doing that. The only thing that helps for me is playing brown noise (it’s a lower frequency than white noise I think) at night when I’m “attempting” to sleep. It’s crazy

Too funny, I listen to noise as well at night. I have insomnia anyway. Did prior. I take what most people would overdose on, sleep meds, and it still takes hours to fall asleep. Then, once asleep, I can sleep 15 hours due to the fatigue. I could never nap, now I nap without sleep aids. Which is hard for me to do.
