Can long covid cause this blurry vision?
hey, so since I got what I think was covid 3 months ago and I remember being sick for a couple of days and since then I have this problem where my vision constantly becomes blurry, I focus my vision and 1 second after it unfocuses and my vision becomes blurry, it is really hard for me to read text because of this and I also have this issue of vision becoming blurry and I need to "focus" my vision again when seeing things that are far from me also, I went to an eye doctor and he did a eye test without dilation which was fine and she sent me to do oct which I did but didn't receive the results yet, did anyone experienced something similar with covid and it went away? I am scared I am going blind.

Yes, vision changes are a Long COVID symptom.
Yes! Finally, someone else posting about visual issues! I have had Lasik and was doing fine until LC hit me. I now have trouble focusing on both near and far things. I had my vision checked and was informed that everything looked great. Knowing that I have LC, I was given a prescription, however, it's difficult to utilize since the burry vision comes and goes. He suggested to get my Lasik adjusted, but I'm not a fan of that since I feel it's more a brain processing issue. I also have what I thought is hearing loss. Had that checked out and it was perfect. Was told again, it appears to be more of a processing issue and was given a few suggestions.
I have a similar situation. Blurry vision but eye exams are "normal" and no long-term damage. I just got in to see an MD at a Long COVID clinic, and was told that this is a symptom of not getting enough blood flow to the brain. (I have also been diagnosed with POTS.) He seems to think that it can improve? I hope he's right!
Yeah, me too. Clogged and pressure in ears, but when tested, hearing loss is very minimal. Eyes test ok, but my vision is sometimes double and often blurry. I did undergo some “conventional” treatments. (Balloon inflation for ears and cataract surgery on eyes). Neither surgery helped, and perhaps made things worse. I wish I’d not done either. I’m convinced it is a brain processing problem. Nobody seems to know much about improving that issue.
I am working with Neurologist but so far no progress.
Yes, I have problems all the time. I now am noticing my eyes shifting quickly side to side beyond my control. Lasts about 2-3 seconds and stops. Has done it since my last Covid episode in mid June. I’ve had Covid 5-6 times. Two pretty bad. The first two. Then LC from there. Each Covid I seem to add a new problem. This disease is awful!!
So my vision issues started with a bad headache and blurred vision for several days then I got the typical Covid symptoms but after the cough, runny nose, sore throat , and fever went away the head ache and blurry vision still are in full effect. Total time so far from onset is 3 weeks. I went to the optometrist yesterday and she spent 2.5 hours checking everything from corneas to retinas and so on. Everything looked great. Has anyone started to have the head aches and blurred vision get better? This is terrible
