nothing canned, no frozen box crap. no sulfides (processed meat),no pizza ,no bacon, no burgers, no donuts, no ice cream, no fried basically no bread.but you can get carbs from pasta and rice as it has basically no sodium, food,no oysters no shrimp no clams. no salt (very important), no cow,no cheese, no milk no grapefruit (i have no idea why) black coffee. Broccoli and quinoa is all your allowed.basically if it is flavorless and bland its ok. it is flavorless diet but it helps a lot.Bon Apetit' lol

@mollyb1968, Here is a helpful link to Mayo/Nash liver disease.

There is a section on 'self-management" that you will direct your food choices. The emphasis with liver disease is to eat healthy with emphasis on fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. The directions that I was given early on was to eat a "heart healthy" diet. I currently eat heart healthy, and I enjoy a full range of delicious foods. I just have learned to rethink my meal planning and grocery shopping
Of course, any alcohol is to be avoided.
There are many heart healthy recipes out there. And the benefits extend to all areas of your health, both now and in the future!
