Penis Shrinkage with no other issues?

Posted by newtobeingold @newtobeingold, Jul 8, 2024

Ok, I am new to being old...lol. I have read through these forums and those that appear to have an issue of this type talk about cancer, surgeries, and all of that type of stuff. I have never had this huge penis but you could at least notice it was there. I did go to the urologist for a little help since it just didn't work like it used to. He gave me the little yellow pill but I didn't really see much difference, it still worked most of the time like it had been. In the last year or so, it seems to have shrunk quite a bit. I think it would now qualify as a micro penis, where it never would have before. It actually now looks as though it is uncircumcised and I can't think of any other way to say it other than it seems to have just withdrawn inside. I take the lowest dose of blood pressure meds available and have for about 3 years now. I weigh roughly the same as I always did, I recently lost weight but don't see a difference. My exams and bloodwork always come back fine. Does it just get that much smaller with age? Honestly, I have to kind of push in and pull it out to even get it to come out to urinate. The urologist didn't look at it but just kind of shrugged me off when I mentioned it. He is a pretty highly rated doctor but didn't seem like he was either concerned or didn't believe me. You can google it but all the results I find are from the places that can add a foot to it and so forth, so I really can't get any honest information. Is there anything I can do or are those fun days over and I am just stuck with a micro now? I am not a nutcase and am truly serious, I can tell it is just nowhere near the size it used to be, which was only about 5 inches, but it was my 5 inches. I sometimes wish I had pictures of it from 4 or 5 years ago to compare to now so people don't think I am crazy. Thoughts?

I have had a physical since I posted this, but he wasn't very interested in my issue. Of course, I am trying to find a new doctor as he doesn't seem to be interested in most issues but it is hard to find someone that seems very good and especially closing in on Medicare makes it harder. I have an appointment with someone highly recommended but the first new patient appointment isn't until May. What do I do? Walk in and say my pecker is shrinking and be told it's my imagination, part of getting older, etc? I thought others here may have experienced the same issue and could offer some opinions but if the only response is always "Go to the doctor" then what good is this forum?

Isn't every question here answered with anecdotal information pretty much? I mean, it's not like there's a doctor here diagnosing people from a message board. I understood this was a comfortable place to post issues, questions, and the like to receive information from people based on their experiences and thoughts. I never expected to receive a diagnosis. I will refrain from posting and keep my questions between my doctor (if I ever find one) and myself from now on. Consider me properly chastised. Have a nice day.

Your penis shrinks as you age simple fact. If you have chronic ED then it will shrink even faster. See the correct dr. meaning a dr. of sexual medicine not just a urologist .. start using a VED with his approval and then figure out if oral meds or shots will be the first step in dealing with it. I have 9 years on you age wise. Started of the aging journey normally till a stroke in 2022 stopped all erections and lost my libido. Tried the shots to no avail, and the pills. I used a VED for 6 weeks before my penile implant surgery. I had a Rigicon mallable penile implant put in 6-2023 one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Good luck to you do something besides come on here and talk about what you don't have. Help is available to you and others ..

You need to see a urologist whose subspecialty is sexual health. A large teaching hospital might be a good place to start for this specific issue. I’m not surprised your PCP shined you on. We are all of different size and shape and you have to accept what you were born with.

When flaccid, you can't even see it. It's like the old joke of needing tweezers and a magnifying glass. When erect, it is much shorter than it used to be, with a very slight curve upward. Not meaning to make this sound like a penthouse forum but I am at the point where in order to have intercourse I have to stand at the edge of the bed and pull her to me or have her on top, missionary just won't work any more. If I stood in front of you and removed my clothes without touching it, you would see a pair of testicles and not much else. Maybe that is why I equate all of it with the fun days being over. Like I said, it was never huge to begin with but it was at least big enough to hit the right spot, and I definitely worked on technique and other things over the years to satisfy my partner, now I can barely even urinate because it has gotten so small. It has totally wrecked my self-esteem when trying to find a compatible partner... I guess if I was still married I wouldn't consider it that much of a problem (although it really still would be) but what kind of woman who still loves sex wants a man who can only provide satisfaction through means other than intercourse?

I am 60 next week and this just started a month ago. When flaccid, it is now so small and feels like it has no blood in it. It is hard to pee because there is barely enough left to hold on to.
Not to mention, I used to walk around with pride. Now I feel like everybody can see I have nothing down there anymore. I still get elections, although that seems to have gone from 6" to 5". Please tell me this is temporary!!!!

Were you able to recover your libido? I have lost most of mine, although I would love to be able to be intimate with my wife again. I can please her, but I have no real feelings of sexual arousal. Any help will be received with gratitude.
