thenazarenshul, Hey there! I would have to say yes to this. I have had FMS & CFS for 29 years. I also have hashimotos (Hypothyroidism) & Grave's Disease (Hyperthyroidism). Both of these are autoimmune diseases. I hardly know anyone with FMS/CFS that does not have another autoimmune disease. I have always questioned if FMS/CFS is autoimmune. I believe that it is...but, the jury is still out on that one. I tell people that have been recently diagnosed to have all of their thyroid levels checked because hashimoto's symptoms especially mimics Fibromyalgia.

FMS/CFS and thyroid disease tends to go hand-in-hand. My C-Reactive Protein stays elevated and the rheumatologist wasn't overly concerned. He just said I had a lot of inflammation in my body. I have been tested several times in the past 2 years and my C-Reactive protein is still elevated.

I later developed a lot of arthritis. Fibro sufferers (my thoughts) it seems, tend to be more prone to arthritis. It is a painful combination to have both.

Praying for all of you Fibromyalgia/CFS sufferers. It's a hard disease to keep balanced.
